Kitchener Eats is a joint initiative of Andrew Coppolino of Waterloo Region Eats and myself. It’s an ever changing informal group interested in exploring Kitchener’s restaurants. We especially enjoy the culinary adventures available downtown including the diversity of cultural food available.
We encourage you to come on out and join us! We do lunches, dinners and breakfast about once every 2 – 4 weeks. There are no fees. Everyone pays their own way and you can come to whichever events you wish. Just let us know so that the restaurant can be ready for us. We spread the news on our blogs, on Twitter and by e-mailing past participants.
It’s pho time!
We’re heading back into Kitchener’s Market District for another taste of Asia. This time we’re enjoying Vietnamese food at Pho Dau Bo across from the Kitchener Market.
I can let you know now that this restaurant will be one of the gems of east downtown Kitchener featured on my Jane’s Walk on Sunday afternoon.
The great Vietnamese noodle soup (it’s pronounced “fuh”), and it’s the next #KitchenerEats venue: Tuesday, May 8, 2012 beginning at 12 p.m.
The menu at PDB is large and includes lots of noodle and rice dishes, bubble teas, and many vegetarian selections. Please sign up and join us.
Andrew has arranged a tasting menu at Marisol. Stay tuned for details.
I’m also going to lobby him for a trip out to the new Mel’s Diner opening Monday in Kitchener. But should it be dinner or breakfast?
I’m also planting seeds for a visit to the Kitchener Market’s international food court.
What else should be on our where to eat list?
